Along with this, non-native EMF’s (EMF’s from cell phones, computers, wifi, etc.) have been found to increase the growth of several strains of bad bacteria in the gut (Taheri et al, 2017).

Without reducing these “fuels to the fire”, our gut health will begin to deteriorate and our immune system along with it. Thankfully, there are many different ways to initiate healing of a damaged gastrointestinal tract and maintain this healthy gut lifelong.

How to Restore Optimal Gut Health?

Growing up in Houston, Texas, my mother taught us the importance of feeding ourselves with nutrient-dense, non-toxic foods. We grew our own organic fruits and vegetables, ate grass-fed, grass-finished beef from our grandparent’s farm, were constantly eating homemade kefir and fermented foods to feed our good gut bacteria, and were never allowed to eat anything that came in a box.

We followed the golden rule of grocery shopping, which was and is: stick to the peripheries of the store and avoid the middle aisles of packaged foods.

As children, we scoffed at this seemingly eccentric lifestyle we were forced to live. Now, I can’t thank my mother enough for relentlessly monitoring the quality of our food supply.

Over the years as a doctor, I have learned the science behind why the quality of not just our food, but air, water, and products all play a critical factor in our overall health.

I’ve learned and seen firsthand that the key to restoring gut health involves cleaning both the external environment we live in as well as the internal environment of our bodies.

Cleaning the external environment involves:

● Filtering air in the home.

● Filtering drinking water and removing the fluoride, and if possible, whole-house water.

● Removing toxic products from the home and replacing them with non-toxic alternatives.

● Focusing on stress reduction through emotional work and lifestyle changes.

● Reducing/negating EMF exposure (I use a German device that neutralizes free radicals and harmful radiation from electrical devices).

Cleaning the internal environment involves:

● Consuming organic fruits and vegetables.

● Consuming grass-fed and grass-finished meats/animal products raised without hormones or antibiotics.

● Reducing the consumption of processed foods.

● Avoiding refined sugar and carbs (e.g. white flour and rice, etc.).

● Addressing underlying gut infections.

● Allergy testing and avoiding any foods that may have come up for you.

● Supporting healthy bacteria growth with probiotics and fermented foods.

● Supporting gut healing with specific supplements.

● Supporting detoxification pathways with supplements, lifestyle habits, and modalities.

At the Center for New Medicine/Cancer Center for Healing, we utilize the F-Scan and Firefly treatment along with dietary changes to address underlying infections.

Developed by our own Dr. Martin Bales, the F-Scan quickly scans the body and identifies any viral, bacterial, fungal, or parasitic infections that may be present.

We then use the Firefly technology to provide a quick 10-minute treatment that destroys the offending pathogens using targeted frequencies and light wavelengths.
