When do we really start listening to the scientists and doctors? When do we really pay attention to the data? When do we finally actually follow the science?
I told my friend that at this point I really had nothing more to say. I did not want to lose my friend to a disagreement so I told them that we would just have to agree to disagree and keep our conversations focused on other topics. Which brings me to my final point: Shouldn’t that be the way this injection, or masks for that matter, be treated by all of us? Shouldn’t we be allowed to consider the options and the risks and make our own decisions as to how we want to protect ourselves? Why must we be mandated to do something that is supposed to be for our protection, especially when the data doesn’t support the mandate? This is especially concerning when the drug companies producing this experimental injection have been given immunity from all liability?
As I consider the logic of what is being demanded, it doesn’t add up. A real vaccine is supposed to protect me against a target disease. If I don’t take it, I have a greater risk of getting the disease. My not taking it should not put anyone else at risk who has chosen to take the vaccine. Supposedly, they are protected. So why are they troubled that I have not taken it? With such a low risk of death that we now know this virus presents, why can I not choose to take the risk of catching the disease and developing my own immunity naturally without the injection?
The big argument from the political establishment, especially Dr. Fauci, is that everyone taking the injection is helping to develop herd immunity. Why do we need this artificial means with high risks of harm when such a low risk of death has been established through the data we now have? The data shows that we are at the common seasonal flu levels, so why the hype? Why can’t we allow the herd immunity to develop naturally?
I guess that really is the big question – “Why the Hype?” What is really going on? Inquiring minds want to know!
