NATURE

The Nature Spirit instinct in me started as a child.  Born in Rye, NY, my playground, one block from my home, was a large park with big beautiful trees, hills, and a duck pond.  No matter the season, I was there, immersed in Nature.  Rye Beach, where I swam and spent most summer days, adjoined the park.

When not at the beach, I went on long bike rides with a friend.  Walking or bike riding were how I got to school or visited friends.  Five miles of daily walking or up to 10-40 miles of bike riding was the norm.

Hence, I kept very fit.  I was also very creative in art and music, and the only student in all three area schools to get both the special music and art awards.

However, my #1 love was ballet.  Thanks to one of my father’s clients, I enjoyed a few good years at the Juilliard School in NYC.  Without support and years of early training, by age 20, you are over the hill.  Nonetheless, my early ballet training helped build a strong, flexible body, for which I am grateful.

In my late teens and early twenties, life took me on a long journey to explore different cultures and the rest of the world.  The serenity and beauty of the Bahamian beaches, the old world charm of Bermuda and Caribbean islands, the historical manor homes of England, the spectacular architecture of Europe, the dance and culture of Polynesia, and the tropical wonder of the oldest continuous living rainforest in N. QLD, Australia were unforgettable experiences that became part of me.

I learned that Nature has specific laws that have evolved  since the beginning of time to perfect its ecosystems.  Nature provides all the answers, knowledge, and wisdom.  Scholars and wise men or women learn from and work with the power of Nature.

For a man, woman, technocrat, or corporate entity to think that they know better and can control, improve, or change Nature for their own gain (e.g., GMOs, geo-engineering) reveals the height of ignorance, or worse, criminality for the generations of harm produced.  In Nature, nutrition, romance, design, art, and music, every little thing makes a big difference.

In reality, everything man claimed to have invented originated in Nature.  Man/woman only discovered what already existed in Nature.  What man/woman does with this knowledge determines the outcome.

Exploring ancient knowledge enlightens.  Science or technology reveals the bigger picture.  Nature also teaches that our inner and outer environments are inseparable.

“Nature is the source of all true knowledge, which others apparently know nothing of and, for the most part, do not want to know.

Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself, or from holding certain views which others find inadmissible.

~ Carl Jung

“The book of nature is written in the language of mathematics.”

~Galileo Galilei

Nature is also beauty at its finest!  Read my article In Harmony with Nature - Parts One and Two, in the March and April 2024 issues of Masters of Health magazine.

In walking the talk, I use three criteria:

Is it environmentally friendly?

Is it conducive to good health?

Is it beautifying and in harmony with Nature?

In my view, Nature Rules Supreme!

“The wisest and noblest teacher is Nature itself.”

~ Leonardo da Vinci

The areas of my work, listed above, have evolved over many years.

This article is a brief description of it.

The people I work with in these different areas are a joy and an inspiration.  We are divinely connected.
