Dr. Murphy was participating in a BioAcoustic Vocal Profiling Training for medical professionals in which the class was evaluating the potential of pain relief using low-frequency sound.
Being both skeptical and curious, Dr. Murphy inquired if there was a sound that would eliminate gout pain. His big toe often swelled, turned red and was very painful if he ingested certain foods or drink. Imbibing Whisky caused the most pain for him.
The class decided to set up an experiment as a group intervention. Sure enough, the sound frequency combination that had been identified the year before, not only relieved the pain almost instantly but began to obviously decrease the redness and swelling.
