8. Consume high Vitamin A fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices, which are dark green, orange, yellow, and red in color; organic chicken or calf’s liver; turmeric, and a natural Vitamin A supplement (10,000-25,000 i.u. daily/adult minimum).  Natural vitamin A/carotenoids protect all the body’s mucus membranes, lungs, and cells from viral attacks.  It is essential for many processes, including reproduction, growth and development, vision and eye health, bone health, organ function, cancer prevention, and maintaining a healthy immune system.

9. Consume high Vitamin C fruits, such as acerola cherries, berries, black currents, tree-ripened citrus, red garnet plums, guavas, kakadu plums, pomegranate, papaya, pineapple, and kiwi; and vegetables such as cilantro, chillies, kale, mustard spinach, red and yellow sweet peppers, parsley, sweet potatoes, broccoli, thyme, along with a supplement of natural vitamin C complex in mineral ascorbate form (1,000-2,000 mg daily/adult minimum).  Vitamin C is a vital nutrient and powerful antioxidant that protects cell health and integrity, repairs, and heals.  It also nourishes the adrenal glands, providing the energy necessary to eliminate toxins.  NEVER go without this vital vitamin and powerful antioxidant.  Non-GMO vitamin C along with bioflavonoids (powdered or capsules) are among the best Vitamin C supplements.  Taken with potassium they help alleviate a cold by assisting in the elimination of toxins.  Read what world leading expert Dr. Thomas E. Levy, MD, JD, has to say about vitamin C in his books: Curing the Incurable: Vitamin C, and  Rapid Virus Recovery, along with his feature in Masters of Health magazine issue 60, September 2021.

10. Consume iodine rich sea vegetables such as bladderwrack, kelp, nori, dulce, wakame, and Main Coast Sea Vegetables Seasonings, or natural iodine supplements.  Oregon’s Wild Harvest Bladderwrack is an excellent iodine supplement.  Iodine kills viruses and bacteria and nourishes the thyroid gland, which helps to maintain normal body temperature and provide the energy needed to eliminate toxins.

11. Include zinc (Zn) foods in your diet such as pepitas or pumpkin seeds, pasture fed meat, fowl, eggs, organic beans and legumes, sea vegetables and seafoods from clean waters if that is possible.  Zn is an essential mineral that plays many vital roles in the body, such as gene expression, over 300 enzymatic reactions, protein and DNA synthesis, taste and smell, growth and development, immune functions, and wound healing.  Zn helps to activate your body's T cells (certain white blood cells tasked with destroying infected cells), and thus, shortens the duration of a cold, flu, or infection.  The body needs zinc to heal and transport oxygen-rich red blood cells into the lungs.  If you fall ill with frequent bacterial infections or colds, herpes, shingles, or lost your sense of smell or taste, you are Zn deficient.  Take Zn (50-75 mg/adult) citrate or picolinate.

12. To eliminate bacterial congestion, take a quality garlic supplement (4-6 capsules) once or twice daily until completely cleared.  Garlic is Nature’s natural antibiotic without the side effects.  It clears lung congestion better than anything.  Add garlic, onions, scallions/spring onions, and leeks, which are rich in purifying sulfur, to your meals.  Endo Met Garlic is one of the most effective garlic supplements.  Read: Sulfur in Human Nutrition - Parts 1 & 2, by Lady Carla Davis, MPH in the 2020 February and March issues of Masters of Health Magazine: http://MastersOfHealthMag.com

13. For viral: Spray bio-active hydrosol silver high up into the nasal cavity where the cold (corona) virus harbors.  Two excellent brands are Sovereign Silver and OxySilver immune support hydrosol concentrate with 528.  This bio-active hydrosol form of silver is a powerful anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory immune booster.   This form of silver kills viruses when nothing else works.  Spray it also in the mouth, throat, around the teeth, and swallow.  Never go without it.

14. AVOID acidic substances that weaken the immune system, such as refined sugar and carbs, coffee, sodas, tobacco, alcohol, MSG, fluoridated water; and highly processed and heavily salted foods, such as luncheon meats, bacon, chips, pickles, and various condiments that disrupt the body’s Na/K ratio.

15.  Get to sleep before 11:00 PM and rest when tired.  The body detoxifies, repairs, rebuilds, and replenishes its hormones during sleep, meditation, and relaxation.  This also helps to rebuild the adrenal and other glandular functions.
