BENEFITS of ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS (EFAs) IN BALANCE
This nutritious oil is highly valued and consumed for good reasons:
•EFAs and their derivatives form the cell membranes that surround every cell in the human body. They protects us from foreign substances such as viruses and bacteria.
•EFAs are required for the transport and metabolism of both cholesterol and triglycerides. They can lower high cholesterol levels by up to 25 percent and high triglycerides levels up to 65 percent.
• EFAs regulating platelet stickiness, arterial muscle tone, inflammatory response, sodium excretion through the kidney, and immune function.
• EFAs stimulate metabolism, increase oxygen uptake, and increase energy production. They inhibit the growth of anaerobic organism, like candida and cancer cells. They help athletes experience greater stamina and higher plateaus of performance.
•EFAs, especially omega 3, are required for normal fetal development of the brain and nervous system. They are also required for brain function in adults.
•EFA deficiencies can cause a lifetime of unexplained emotional problems, learning difficulties, and immune system disorders.
•EFAs also work in the body by forming hormone-like substances called prostaglandins.

According to the American Nutrition Assoc., published in the Nutrition Digest, Vol. 38, No. 2. Prostaglandins operate in most tissues of the body to regulate just about every bodily function, including:
•Cardiovascular and kidney system function, including dilation or constriction of blood vessels and clot formation.
•Digestive system function, including regulation of stomach secretions.
•The healing and repair process, including regulation of cell division.
•Immune system function, including allergy responses.
•The inflammatory process, including fever and pain regulation.
•Nervous system function, including regulation of neural circuits in the brain.
•Reproductive system function, including induction of labor or menstrual cramps.
•Thermoregulation, or the maintenance of a constant body temperature.
•Various other functions, including control of fluid pressure in the eyes, ears, and joints.
The list seems endless - and it may be. Scientists are still discovering regulatory effects of the prostaglandins. Omega 6 and omega 3 have complimentary functions when there is a proper balance of the EFA ratio between 2:1 and 1:1(50/50) for optimal health.
The authors give evidence that the extreme disproportion of omega 6 to omega 3 in our modern diet is a basic factor behind our "modern day plagues." This includes cardio vascular disease, cancer, diabetes, hormonal imbalance, allergies, leaky gut, arthritis, and mental problems from epilepsy to schizophrenia.
BEWARE: Refined sugar/carbs, pharmaceuticals, fluoride, caffeine, tobacco, alcohol, toxic metals (e.g. aluminum, lead, mercury, etc.), GMOs, and chemicals such as glyphosate block EFA enzyme systems and their conversion to prostaglandins.
