Is COVID19 a Pandemic of Disease or is it a Pandemic of PCR Testing?
In May 2009, the World Health Organisation (WHO) changed the definition of a pandemic. The new definition removed the requirement for there to be ‘enormous numbers of deaths and illnesses in all countries’ before a global pandemic could be called. The WHO Emergency Committee, that had conflicts of interest with industry, replaced this phrase with an increase in ‘cases’ of an infectious disease.
The new definition in 2009 stated ‘a global pandemic can be declared when there are more cases of that disease than normal’. In other words, the WHO could not have declared a ‘global pandemic’ of swine-flu in June 2009, or of coronavirus in 2020, if it had not changed the definition to focus on ‘cases’ of these diseases and not ‘serious illness and deaths.’
This change in definition is critical because the only disease statistic that can provide the risk of a disease to any community is the hospitalisation and death statistics. Cases or notifications of an infectious disease provide information about the non-serious cases that are self-limiting in the community. It is these cases that enable herd immunity to develop in the population, and this is how infectious diseases are controlled.
In addition to changing the definition of a pandemic to ‘cases’ and not ‘deaths or serious illness’, the year 2020-21, was the first time in history, that healthy global populations have been screened with a RT-PCR test to diagnose a new flu-like illness that has been labelled COVID19 disease. Further, the CDC has admitted that it did not track influenza for the 2020-21 year.
Diagnosing disease in healthy people with the RT-PCR test is a problem for two main reasons i) the test cannot diagnose disease; it only identifies viral matter that may or may not cause disease: it is not proof of the disease, and ii) healthy people are now being considered ‘cases’ of disease simply by testing positive to this test that cannot diagnose disease.
This has resulted in thousands of ‘cases’ of this disease being reported in the media even though these cases do not have any symptoms of disease. But, the public is not being told that they do not have any symptoms of disease. These cases of healthy people are being described as a ‘pandemic 'of a new disease, and they are being used by the media to frighten the public about a new mutated strain of a coronavirus: a virus that causes the common cold.
This increased number of healthy people with a positive test (many false positives are occurring - >40%) are the sole reason why the Australian government has adopted emergency powers to implement draconian measures to control this alleged ‘serious outbreak’ of disease. The fact that healthy people are now considered cases of disease could be the reason why COVID19 is the only infectious disease on the Australian government’s Communicable Disease website that does not have a case definition for the disease.
This new disease has not been killing people in greater numbers than the normal flu viruses. Yet, the Australian government has locked up healthy people; forced them to take an invasive PCR test that carries a risk of infections; and forced people to wear masks that suppress the oxygen supply during any activity. In Western Australia, people who do not comply with these directives face criminal charges.
