Stand For Health Freedom

By Leah Wilson, Executive Director and Co-founder

The Impetus

Nearly five years ago, before the madness of COVID-19, my husband, Nick, and I were hoping to open our home again to foster children. Surprisingly, our application was rejected this time because our two biological children were not up to date with the Centers for Disease Control’s immunization schedule. After investigating further, we found out the denial was directly connected to a federal agency pressuring a state department to penalize us because we did not comply with their vaccine recommendations and mandates.

This realization was truly heartbreaking. The system would rather have foster children sleep on the floor in the office of the Department of Child Services than place them in a safe and loving home. Those vulnerable kids were used as pawns and had to pay the price.

The situation lit a fire within me. I knew things like this were happening across our country, and I needed to do something about it. Children deserve better than health policy lacking sense or substance standing in the way of their safety, security, and future.

I had read it only takes mobilizing 3.5% of the population through peaceful protest to bring about change. I knew there was hope and a way forward, helping children and so many others affected by these attacks on our liberties.

So in August of 2019, I left my job practicing law, and Nick and I co-created Stand for Health Freedom with Sayer Ji, founder of GreenMedInfo, and Dr. Joel Bohemier, a leading chiropractor. Stand for Health Freedom is a 501(c)(4) focused on empowering people to defend their rights.

And two years later in 2021, we created our sister organization, Health Freedom Institute, a 501(c)(3), focused on providing trusted resources and illuminating the battles ahead. We have a small-but-mighty team leading all this work and have welcomed more than 700K like-minded warriors on this incredible journey.

We all know that what happened with the foster care system is not an anomaly. There’s a concentrated, well-funded effort led by the World Health Organization (WHO), pharmaceutical companies, and government entities to take over medical decision-making and silence the voices that don’t agree with their plan. This may sound dramatic, but it’s an unfortunate fact that we must oppose head-on. Our response needs to be strategic and decisive: shocking, overwhelming, and hindering our opponent.

We aim to do just that. We’re laser focused on educating and mobilizing our fellow citizens to peacefully rise up against this clandestine adversary. We’re not trying to be, and cannot be, all things to all people. The enemy wants us to go down that path -- to be wavering and unprepared. Instead, we identify what specifically we are fighting, create a battle plan, and operationalize it to win.

The Fight

In addition to what we faced with the foster care system, we can see so many other examples of the devastation caused by the suppression of health freedom.

Individuals, especially children, are sicker than ever, with skyrocketing rates of chronic illness, after informed consent has been thrown to the wayside.

Education has been derailed, and jobs and livelihoods have been lost with the implementation of unconstitutional mandates, violating parental rights and religious freedom.

The quest for truth on vaccines and the sharing of knowledge on alternative health options have been attacked, undermining free speech.

Confidential medical records have been used against us under the guise of expediency and the greater good, representing a direct assault on privacy.

Health freedom and, more specifically, informed consent, parental rights, religious freedom, free speech, and privacy, are in the crosshairs. So, all our efforts are directed in defense of these five core values because they are deeply intertwined and must be protected if we are to be a strong and prosperous society.

The Battle Plan

We watch the hearings of the national and international alphabet agencies to follow their movement and ensure that nothing is done under the cover of darkness. We point out their errors and inconsistencies through testimony and by sharing this information with those who don’t have the time to listen.

We pore through scientific papers and news articles on important health freedom topics and then craft digestible materials for individuals to read and share with their friends and family.

We spend hours at statehouses and local offices to develop relationships, ask and answer questions, and track the movement of legislation. We alert our base when action needs to be taken with their representatives.

We research, interview, and endorse candidates at all levels of government to ensure that citizens can elect resolute and principled leaders who will promote good and fight bad policies through our Vote for Health Freedom initiative.
