Radio interviews are challenging because, as an author, I have to think on my feet without losing the flow of conversation. The host sets the pace for the guest to follow and pausing to think is rarely an option.
George never fails to ask carefully crafted questions that frequently cause me to hit the pause button and think before I speak. Instead of prodding for an immediate answer, George pauses for one or two beats so I can catch my thoughts before resuming our conversation on such topics as my work in precognitive dreaming, intuition, and the need for a spiritual approach to healing after catastrophic events.
Born in 1950, George is a Gemini who spent his childhood in post-war Detroit. His interest in the paranormal started when he had a spontaneous out-of-body experience at the age of eleven. While it left him shaken, it also sparked his lifelong mission to investigate extra-sensory phenomena. Not only has he sought out experts in paranormal research, he is the author of half a dozen books:
Mad As Hell: America’s #1 All-Night Radio Host Takes on the Dangerous World We Live In (2017)
George Noory’s Late Night Snacks (2013)
Talking to the Dead with Rosemary Ellen Guiley (2011)
His career in broadcasting started when he was a student at the University of Detroit.
After his first gig as a production assistant at an ABC affiliate in his home town, George worked his way around the Midwest, first as a producer and finally as news director for KSDK-TV in St. Louis.
Along the way he earned three Emmys and served nine years in the US Navy.
Although reticent to discuss his personal life, George has been married and divorced twice. He fathered three children and has six grandchildren.

exclusive interview:
1. You were one of the first national broadcasters to start promoting natural and alternative health products. How has the field changed since you started on C2C?
It has changed dramatically over the years. Since I started 17 years ago see more people interested in natural and holistic remedies than ever before. I don’t know what’s steering or pushing it. I got into it because of my mother who just turned 90.
She kept pushing me to take my supplements. I started investigating and decided to put some special guests on the air who can help other people. If I can help one person out of that illness then the interview is worthwhile. People come up at live events and thank me.
