If you had told me a decade ago that I would one day be hauling a documentary across America like a traveling revival, parking tour buses behind small theaters, meeting families in church basements, watching mothers pull crumpled medical records out of purses shaking with a decade of grief, I would have laughed.
I was a medical journalist from CBS, trained in the mechanics of balanced storytelling, comfortable in the machinery of major media.
I thought of myself as informed. I thought I knew what “public health” meant.
But then Vaxxed happened. And nothing in my life was ever the same again.
