available, and many community colleges that provide courses in identifying plants. The First Nation (indigenous) people usually have specialists in their communities that are generally very willing to share their knowledge.

There are also many types of hydrotherapy, using hot and cold-water treatments that are quite effective in addressing many health issues, including circulation. In the early 1900s, there were many "sanitariums" that were operating that offered these treatments with much success.

Today, there are still some practitioners that provide these treatments and are willing to train. There are still some older books circulating that offer these techniques. One I know of is titled, "Back to Eden" by Kloss. Like many things, you treat it like a buffet. You pick what makes sense and leave the rest on the table. Dr. Bernard Jensen’s books also tell about this kind of therapy.

As a kid, when I got a chest cold, my mom would get out the heating pad and start treatment on me. First, I would get the pad as hot as I could stand, and then she would bring a cold cloth to rub on me. That would be repeated 4 or 5 times, and then she would rub me down with Vicks Vapor Rub and bundle me into bed. By morning, I would be all cleared up and ready for school. I am working with a company now that makes a PEMF (Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Frequency) devise that is designed to increase capillary blood flow. If you think about it, getting more blood flow supplying the cells in your body would provide better nourishment, and in turn, improve or rectify a whole host of medical issues. For example: providing more oxygen and energy to the cells, alleviating edema, and removing toxins. Some of the case studies are amazing.

This modality improves conditions that pharmaceuticals can't even touch because if the blood is not getting to the problem area, then no matter what medication you are using, or how good it is, it will not fix the problem.

I believe that this medication shortage that has been shown in the above study is only going to get worse. Wouldn't it be better for everyone to learn about these wonderful alternatives to medications?

Wouldn't it be better for us if we would not even need any of these medications because we have found more natural ways to restore health and wellness?

When the newspapers and televisions are giving newsflashes about the next medicine shortage, wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have to worry about it?

And if we are not all bound up with worry and fear, maybe even that Shalom will be a source of better health and wellness!
